Department Profile
Psychology is an evidence based field of science which aims to understand human experience, behavior and mental process scientifically. BSc in Psychology started in the year of 2014 . Many of our students were accepted into PG Programs and Other Courses in eminent institutes. MSc Psychology Course started in the year of 2020. Psychology Students Association and Psychology Club functions well and has conducted many programs like field visits, invited lectures, webinars and other co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Vision
The department of psychology aspires to be an eminent department in the Calicut university region of psychology in education and related field. Our department functions well at the stage of teaching, training, counselling and research in different areas of psychology.
Objectives
1. Help students to develop a clear-cut understanding of
psychological theories, empirical literature and develop professional
skills.
2. To inculcate professional ethics, self-awareness and emotional
stability.
3. To make capable for applying psychological concepts, theories
and research to daily life problems.
