The NSS Unit and SIP of Sahya Arts and Science College, Palamadam, Wandoor organized a programme titled “Sandhesha Prayanam” in connection with Palliative Care Day, observed on 15th January 2026.

The programme aimed to create awareness among students and the community about the importance of palliative care and the need for compassionate support for patients suffering from chronic and life-limiting illnesses. The activities emphasized values such as empathy, care, social responsibility, and humanitarian service.

Students actively participated in the programme, which helped sensitize them to the physical, emotional, and social challenges faced by patients and their families. The initiative strengthened the spirit of volunteerism and social commitment among the participants.

The programme was meaningful and successfully contributed to promoting awareness about palliative care and community involvement.
