One of the the criterion regarding the standard of a colleges its library. In this regard Sahya College is unique. We have a library containing books on all the concerned subjects. There is a vast selection of general books as well. Students are allowed to carry books home. The presence of well equipped library is the main nurturing factor for the reading habit of the students. In the library there are special wings for periodicals newspapers and reference books.
Infrastructure
General Section
The General section houses books in both Malayalam and English, along with textbooks, Arabic, and Hindi collections. The reading space in this section can comfortably accommodate over 45 students.
Career Guidance Corner
The Sahya library boasts well-organized resources for various career development programs, drawing visitors with its extensive collection. It offers books tailored for competitive exams such as UGC NET, SET, as well as job-oriented examinations like PSC and UPSC.
Reference Section
Reference section has 2 subsections:
a) General reference section
This section contains general reference materials such as Encyclopaedias, Dictionaries, Yearbooks etc..
b) Thesis/ Dissertation section
This section contains copies of the Theses/ Dissertations submitted in various teaching departments of the institution.
Textbook Section
This section contains copies of the text books prescribed in the syllabus of the institution.
Circulation Section
Members can borrow books from this section and are required to register their entry into the library using the 'In-Out Management System' located within this section.
PG Resource Room
The PG Resource Room, situated on the ground floor, is exclusively designated for PG students. It features reference books, five computers, and a television.
Computerization
The Sahya Library has fully automated its operations and services using the world-class open-source Integrated Library Management System (ILMS) known as Koha. Koha is renowned as the leading open-source library automation software, utilized by over 85 percent of academic, public, and special libraries worldwide. Originally developed by Katipo Communications for the Horowhenua Library Trust in New Zealand, Koha is now supported by the global Koha community. All library books are equipped with barcodes, and students receive barcoded identity cards, facilitating smooth management of book circulation at the counter. One of the software's key features is its Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), enabling easy location of books within the library's collection.

Rules and Regulations
- All Students of the college are members of the library.
- Strict silence should be observed in the library and its premises.
- Personal belonging like books, bags, umbrellas, files etc. should be kept in the property counter.
- The students are entitled to borrow books on the student ID Card.
- The number of books issued to a UG student at a time will not be more than three.
- No member shall keep a book more than a fortnight. Book may be reissued to the same student if there is no other applicant for the book.
- Reference book will not be issued to any member including teachers and non-teaching staff.
- Students may use book reservation facilities for getting the books of their choice.
- Absence from the college will not be admitted as an excuse for delay in returning books.
- The librarian may recall a book at any time even when the normal period of loan is not over.
- Members shall not sub lend the books of the library.
- Members shall replace book lost or pay for them as per the price to be fixed by the principal.
- A fine of Rs. 1/- per day will be levied if a book is detained beyond a fortnight.
- If the date on which a book is due to be returned falls, on a holidays it shall be returned on the next working day.
- All staff members of the college are members of the library.
- A member of the teaching Staff may borrow up to five books at a time.
- The rule relating to return of books in a fortnight does not ordinarily apply to them in the matter of subject books but in the case of general books they shall not keep a book more than a month. a member of the non-teaching staff may borrow two books at a time, and shall not keep a book for more than a month.
- Ordinarily books will not be issued to non-members. in exceptional cases the principal may permit a non-member to have access to library or to borrow books on such terms as the principal determines.
