Sahva Arts and Science College English department collaborated with the Media Club to conduct an Inter-Department Literary Fest Kalopsia on 15th February 2024 and organized a documentary screening of Sarga, produced by S3 BA English students from Sahya College, as part of their journalism practice. The screening took place at 11:30 in the college auditorium. The welcome address was given by Multarmmed Shahin KC, HOD of the English Department. The program was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Abdul Rabbi Nistar and the Chief guest was Ashraf Dhosth, an International Social and Charity worker. Abdulla Kutty, Director of SASC, and Abinav, chairman felicitated over the function. The documentary focuses on the experiential learning of plastic usage, showcasing plastic collection units in Nadukani and TK colony. It highlights the importance of responsible plastic disposal and care for the environment, providing insights into proper waste management practices. The event not only contributed to raising awareness about environmental issues but also showcased the students' efforts in using media as a tool for social change. From the English department, 62 students participated and experienced the documentary screening. Muhammed Rafi, a student of S4 English gave the vote of thanks.
