The PG Department of Psychology at Sahya Arts and Science College, in collaboration with IQAC, orchestrated a highly impactful Listening Skill Training program on January 25, 2024. The event took place at 10:30 AM in the Psychology Laboratory, attracting enthusiastic participation from students and faculty alike. The program commenced with an insightful inaugural address by Ms. Sreekavya M, the Head of the Department, who eloquently underscored the significance of active listening in fostering effective communication and understanding. Following this, Mrs. Chaithanya O, Assistant Professor, extended a warm welcome, setting a positive tone for the engaging session.
Mrs. Safvana S, Assistant Professor at SASC, then took the stage to guide participants through an enlightening listening training session. This segment seamlessly blended practical exercises with proven techniques aimed at refining and enhancing students' active listening abilities. The interactive nature of the training fostered a dynamic learning environment, encouraging active participation from all attendees. As the program drew to a close, Shamna Sherin, the class monitor, expressed heartfelt gratitude in the vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of the organizers, presenters, and the engaged audience.
