As a part of Extension and outreach Activity, English Department of Sahya Arts and Science College organized the Mentor Minds Programme with the objective of enhancing the Communicative English skills of seventh standard students at VMC Government Higher Secondary School, Wandoor on 30th January 2026,2.00pm.
The programme was led by Muhammad Hamir and Fathima Sherin from Sixth Semester BA English, Gopika and Ardra from Fourth Semester BA English. The student mentors led interactive sessions focusing on spoken English, vocabulary development, sentence formation, and confidence building through engaging activities such as role plays and group discussions.
The school students actively participated and showed positive improvement in their communication skills and confidence in using English. At the same time, the college students gained valuable experience in teaching, mentoring, and classroom management.Overall, the programme was successful and academically beneficial, strengthening institutional collaboration and promoting effective language learning.
