IEC POLICY

The Internal Examination Cell of Sahya Arts and Science College Wandoor, Palamadam has been constituted to assure the quality of students before the final semester exams. Thereby helps the students in adjusting their learning plans properly, and on the other side assists the teachers in adjusting their teaching programme in accordance with the examination requirements

SCOPE OF IEC

  • Plan and procedures of conducting the exams

  • Declaration of the timely results

  • Schedule of re examination 

  • Grievance Redressal 

  • Systematic record of the scores.

FUNCTIONS OF IEC 

  • Draft the circular 

  • Publish the circular

  • Preparation of question papers. 

  • Time table setting 

  • Preparation of the students list

  • Exam hall and seat arrangements for the students

  • Allocation of duty for the teachers

  • Question paper setting 

  • Conducting exams as per the timetable 

  • Make the list for absentees 

  • Grading Criteria 

  • Identify the slow and advanced learners.

  • Publication of internal assessments by the teachers 

  • Grievance Redressal

IEC OFFICE

  • A separate space has been arranged for the proper functioning of the cell. The group members are obliged to follow the university regulations regarding exams. 

  • Question papers will be sent to the exam controllerโ€™s email 10 days before the examination, the printed question papers will be stored in a shelf. 

  • The pending question papers of the completed exams are secured in the college library and a copy uploaded on the college website. 

    The copies of the question papers are made available in the concerned departments. 


AGENDA

  • IEC shall decide the dates for the internal exams 

  • IEC shall conduct the internal examination prior to the university exams or shall conduct exams after the completion of 40 proper working days.

  • Notification of the exam should be published on the college notice board prior to the   exam. 

  • Application procedure for the retest must be attached on the notice board with date for the absentees.
